Plantronics GameCom 377 Review

Plantronics are a relatively smaller brand in the gaming headset scene, however the Gamecom 377 is worthy competitor. The Gamecom 377 delivers quality sound at a reasonable price, it’s comfortable, lightweight and sturdy. The only potential downside is that it’s open ear, which means other people in the room might not share your appreciation of the quality of sound.

The Gamecom 377 headband has a thick lining with a comfortable outer-material. The earcups are reasonably comfortable, with a moderately thick outer lining. Due to their open ear design you’ll be able to hear what’s going out around you (outside of the game), which could be a positive or a negative depending on your circumstances and individual needs.

The cabling is a 2.8m (9.5 ft) long and features a remote with microphone and volume control. The microphone itself is a boom design and cancels out background noise nicely. Unfortunately the Gamecom 377 seems to distort somewhat at high volume, however this is only apparent at volumes outside of what you’d normally use.

To conclude, the Plantronics Gamecom 377 is a well designed, well built gaming headset that delivers high quality sound in game. The major downfall to the Gamecom 377 is the open ear design, which makes it less ideal if you’re gaming with other people in the room.
