The Razer Carcharias are a quality mid-range performance headset designed for gamers with PC’s that don’t have multi-channel support. The downfall here is that they don’t have surround sound (virtual or not), however as far as stereo sound goes the Razer Carcharias delivers.

Typical of Razer, the Carcharias is mostly black and features subtle logo designs on the ear cups and wired remote. You can tell Razer put in the necessary time and effort  to make the Carcharias comfortable, the ear cups are large enough to accommodate most ears and the headband features thick padding to ensure a secure fit without feeling like you’re skull will crack under the pressure. There’s a wired remote which allows you to adjust volume and turn the microphone on and off, and the cable itself is 3m (9.8 ft) long and encased is braided fibre – keeping it safe from general wear and tear.

Most users report high quality sound from the Carcharias, with the natural equalization allowing for clear highs, defined mid-range sounds and deep lows.
The major downside to the Carcharias is that they’re not surround sound, however for gamers who don’t want to invest in a 5.1 surround card or who have a limited budget they’re a great choice in terms of comfort and performance.
